The role of Procurement Manager, the Netherlands
Recent acquisitions in the Netherlands have given rise to the need to strengthen our purchasing leadership locally for a larger and more complex business footprint. The role is new, and the supporting organisation design is new as well. The successful candidate will help shape and hire resources into the team and make it a successful and professional procurement team for the Netherlands.

Key focus is to rethink local purchasing strategies and to shape them in accordance with our greater scale and scope (including through leverage of our global supply agreements).
Purpose of the role is to deliver competitive advantage from global and local procurement deals. You lead, manage and develop the procurement team for the Netherlands. You ensure compliance with the processes, procedures, governance and internal controls. You provide subject matter expertise to help bring the organisation to the next level of purchasing maturity.

The role covers €40 million spend on goods and services for the operations and office functions. The procurement team currently includes 3 direct reports at different locations.

You operate in a matrix structure and report solid line to the Purchasing Zone Manager for the region. There is a dotted reporting line to the Chief Operating Officer of the Dutch business.

Responsibilities
You are the procurement leader for the Netherlands. You lead and develop the procurement team in The Netherlands. With your team, you secure supply. You plan, develop and deliver savings. Some of the major deals, you take care of yourself. You drive the development of the procurement strategy for the Netherlands. With relevant stakeholders you secure buy in.

Profile
You have an academic qualification (M.Sc.). You gained 5-7 years relevant hands-on procurement experience in a world class organisation. As a result you know what ‘good’ looks like. Working in an international environment inspires you. You know how to develop a procurement strategy. You are capable of dealing with complexity. You have a sound judgment in dealing with multiple interests and priorities. You are ambitious and set high standards for yourself and others. You like to build the procurement organisation in the Netherlands and leave your mark.

English and Dutch are essential, other additional languages a benefit.

The offer
We offer you the opportunity to build the procurement organisation for the Netherlands. We offer you the opportunity to deal directly with C level management in both the global- and local leadership teams. The role is based in the middle of the Netherlands with regular presence at the other locations. We offer you an annual salary of up to €85k.
