The role of (Medior) Procurement Manager
The role is responsible for supporting the Project Management and Engineering teams with procurement of equipment, construction contract(s) and project services. This includes all procurement activities from formulating the procurement strategy for the project up to closing the contract(s) with preferred parties. This also includes providing procurement advice to clients directly.

Once 3 months in the role, you demonstrate knowing the team and already built some trust with key stakeholders. At the end of your first year in the role, you are expected to have made a measurable contribution to one or more projects.

You report into the Associate Director Project Management.

You will work roughly 50% in the office in Delft (at the campus of the Technical University) and the other 50% travelling in the Netherlands, in Europe, the occasional intercontinental business trip or working from home.

Your profile
You are a bright mind with a relevant M.Sc. degree. You are pragmatic and hands on. You are a team player and self propelling. Prior to this role you gained a minimum of 3-8 years procurement or procurement consultancy experience.

You have procurement negotiation experience with one (or more) of the following materials or services:
● civil and/or structural industrial building contractors
● construction management companies
● detailed design engineering companies
● utilities equipment (e.g. boilers, coolers, solar panels)
● electrical installation contractors
● production automation and controls packages
● mechanical contractors
● main production equipment (e.g. vessels, pumps, mixers, filters)
● water and wastewater treatment plants
● storage warehouses and racking systems

You have to be familiar with white paper versus yellow paper documentation, the FEL methodology, FIDIC contract forms and EPC / EPCM method of contracting.

You have an international mindset. You are fluent in Dutch and English.
